Review on ๐Ÿ“ป Uniden BC72XLT Handheld Scanner: Compact and Powerful in Sleek Black Design by Uriel Arocha

Nice little scanner

I am very happy with this scanner. Works surprisingly well for its size. Setting it up was fairly intuitive and it started scanning within 10 minutes of unboxing it. The reception is good and I can even receive a broadcast even though I'm not near the airport. I only got it yesterday so I'll post a more detailed review after using it a bit, but in terms of first impressions I'm really impressed! <Update> I've been using it for over a month now and I'm not frustrated at all. The reception is good for the weather and the radio band. It receives both air-to-ground and ground-to-air transmissions. Power consumption is a bit high, a standard pair of 1800mAh NiMH will last a couple of days if used for several hours a day. But it does have a built-in NiMH charger, which is a nice feature. I usually plug it in at night and in the morning the battery is ready to go.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Nothing here
