Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G Graphics Card with 2X Windforce Fans and 6GB 192-bit GDDR6 by Stanislaw Puzyna แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

There was a choice of 1650 super and 1660 super. The difference between them at the time of purchase was 3-4k. The choice fell on this model, since the 1650 super works almost at the limit of its capabilities in modern games, and it has not a large margin for the future. While the 1660 super exists, the 1660Ti just stands aside, since their performance is almost the same (1660Ti is 3-7% more powerful on average, but 3-5k more expensive), in connection with this, such an overpayment is not worth it. The temperature in games is quite adequate, with a FPS limit of 60 frames at medium-high graphics settings (I have enough, there is practically no difference), the temperature of the card is kept from 48 to 52 degrees, the fans work at an average of 25-30%, you can say "silently" . I bought the video card in the Gigabyte Official Store on Aliexpress (Tmall) for 17,190. I am attaching a ten-minute test of this video card in FurMark 12022.2.0 at the highest possible graphics settings. The test was carried out in a closed Zalman S2 with one complete exhaust fan. The temperature in the room is 25 degrees.

Pros
  • 1. Price/Performance. 2. Passive cooling operation mode when there is no load. 3. Similar in performance to the GTX 1070.
Cons
  • 1. When cooling switches from passive to active, the fans accelerate sharply to maximum speed for literally a second, which gives a certain โ€œroarโ€, then the noise decreases and disappears. 2. A plastic backplate on the back of the card, which worsens the heat dissipation, if it weren't there or it was made of metal, I'm sure the maximum temperature would be 2-5 degrees lower.
