Review on Wacom DTK1660K0A Cintiq 16 Drawing Tablet: A Powerful Screen-based Sketching Tool by Stanislaw Siwak ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A normal product, however, does not fully match the description.

Unfortunately, there is no alternative to this monitor. Largest screen yet portable, only 16 inches. Other cheaper brands copy Wacom and have a lot of glitches with compatibility and performance, they also only have 16" monitors. If Chinese companies had an 18-inch full hd or 2k monitor, I would buy them, but alas. Different pros: - transportable, fits in a backpack. - Thoughtful wire design with port damage protection - overall good build quality from Wakom - on the side there is a convenient stray for hooking the pen. Got cons: - Terrible yellowish color reproduction of the monitor. Everything has a shade of yellow. When switching to other modes, everything becomes either even more yellow or too bluish. For more or less optimal color reproduction, you need to click the RGB options, for the uninitiated or color blind, this is a pain. - the area of the screen itself was still quite small. Unfortunately, Wakom does not have 18-inch displays, which would be optimal. From 16 inches, their tablets jump drastically to 22 inches, which is too bulky and not portable. - too big bezel / plastic bezel around the screen, which makes the device quite big despite its small screen. - monitor stand/leg must be purchased separately. - an inconvenient cable with a lot of wires at the end: power, usb, display port. Could fit everything in one USB C cable. - relatively heavy. - acrylic display, very quickly scratched and covered with furrows. Replacing an acrylic display costs a lot of money. Therefore, it is necessary to stick a protective film from the moment of purchase.
