Review on Moonlight Slumber Comfort Support Pillow by Lexi Mastandrea

Revainrating 4 out of 5

In general I like it, there are some problems.

Well, I've had this pillow for a long time. Now I'm 29 weeks pregnant, here's my assessment: Super comfortable/firm, but like all pillows of this type, the head sinks a bit in the middle. Unfortunately, contrary to what some people have noticed, it's a long pillow so you can't take it apart. I've found that you can loosen up the middle a bit by tugging/poking the sides etc, but overall in terms of durability I'd say the head ends up breaking more than it should. However, I still use it well, fwiw. If you like it higher, you can add another pillow. I think the zipper in the cushion material itself might come in handy for this. The pillowcase is less than outstanding. Only a small number of threads, not a great quality case. I've seen others for sale, but for $100 this pillow should have had a softer cover, like cotton jersey or something. I have found that a little Downey in the wash helps with this. Because I slept on my back, I had trouble transitioning to my side. It took me a while to get this pillow but now at 29 weeks I'm on my side all the time. I think as soon as the baby gets heavy, you naturally come to him. Unfortunately, like many pregnant women, my hip hurts, so sleeping on my side is not very comfortable, I have to switch sides several times a night and still the pain sometimes persists. I can't imagine life without this pillow! Before that, I constantly had pillows falling on the floor. Really annoying. I find adding another pillow as an armrest for hugging makes it even more comfortable. But you can do without it. Overall I give 4/5 stars. The case and falling apart/sagging center deduct 1 star. Realistically I would say this is a 7/10 product. I don't see any better competitors though and if you're unwell and pregnant it's worth it!

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to it
Cons
  • I have doubts
