Review on MICHELIN X-Ice North 4 205/55 R16 94T winter by Faun Su ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Automobile Kia Sid, size 205/60 R16. Before that, a Cordiante Snowmax of the same size had survived (or more accurately, made it through) five winters. As we made any attempt to slow down on treacherous roads, the anti-lock braking system (ABS) kicked in, and we heard a rumble that sounded like a Boeing taking off over the car. Spikes left 20 percent (mileage of about 40 thousand km). In the winter, I pay extra attention to how I drive. Starting or halting was a really difficult challenge on the ice, which resulted in additional gray hair. As a result, I scheduled Mishka for the 17th of November. The temperature was +8 outdoors. Initial impressions - silent! When he's in a rut, he talks a little, starts to yaw when he brakes, and enters turns with some reluctance. Tonight there was just a dusting of snow, and there was an ice roll on the road, but oh, what a miracle! The anti-lock braking system (ABS) has never worked, deceleration is confident, and acceleration is achieved without slipping. The car drives as if it were on dry asphalt. As the tires are breaking in, other aspects of the road have not yet presented themselves. I will add a review. First reactions are really favorable; however, it is imperative to keep in mind that winter studded tires are still being utilized and to drive in a manner that is appropriate for the existing road conditions. Take care of yourself, and watch out for potential dangers! 12/11/18 Added. On the snow that had been rolled, it was okay but nothing special, and when I ran it, the noise level decreased even further. With having no complaints! 04/01/19 After the winter season - fantastic tires, pulled out of the snowdrifts properly, the ice is not awful, but on wet and dry pavement, sometimes ABS suddenly acts when it shouldn't in a harmless position. The spikes are in their proper locations, and there is no evidence of wear on the tread surface. Around 6,000 kilometers were driven.

Pros
  • + Instead of the rumbling of an airplane taking off, there is the pleasant rustling of spikes. When you get up to speeds of 100 miles per hour, then of course it intensifies, but it's still much quieter than any of the spikes I've tried. + Braking and accelerating on ice. Do I recognize you, machine? Or is there a problem with the ABS? Brakes almost like dry asphalt! It came as a surprise.
Cons
  • - Valkost when braking on dry pavement with temperatures higher than plus four - Sidewalls that are quite soft - the subject of how to put up with the deficiencies of 2022 roads is still open, and it causes some cause for concern.
