Requires 8 " Spout: Safety

This works great if you have a tub spout about 8" long. Why? Well, the standard short 6 impedes the water at the front where it flows straight down. It has a crease in the front that causes the water to splash back a bit. If your spout is longer, that's no problem and it doesn't end up on the edge of the tub and the wall. Well, if your spout fits, it works fine. I've had this with previous kids and felt better as they got older and ran amok in the tub. And it happens. I had one that fell backwards and even though I caught her midway through the fall it still caught her back shoulder. She was fine, but the rubber gives a little rebound to keep things from getting worse. Not to say that if they actually hit them hard enough it will 100% prevent a major problem, but it might help if not hit too hard. difficult. Never turn your back, even with safety devices in place.
