Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Your Audio Experience with Creative Labs Sound BlasterX G1, 70SB171000000 by Iyan Iyan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

Initially, I took it for a laptop as a way to improve the sound of headphones and speakers to a digestible sound in a budgetary way, and in the end the result exceeded all expectations, especially considering that this "whistle" cost about 4.5K at that time when buying through the Amazon store. But after some time, such consoles as the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One appeared - and here's what I'll say: it started up with a "switch", but with such sound distortions that, as they say, "well, what the hell." With "boxing", it generally refused to start, no matter how many sites I searched for or special. utilities for the console, or flashing the external DAC itself. There are also nuances when connecting to more or less "fresh" mobile devices: without special players such as "Neutron Music Player", this amp, although it will give a noticeable increase in quality, but not in volume compared to standard "adapters", supplied with phones/tablets without 3.5mm jack. But compared to all these minuses, this external DAC, connected to a computer with Windows OS and the pre-installed "Creative BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro" utility, can do so much for its money that it's a sin to complain! It is enough to google the possibilities of this program - and you will understand everything: there is where to turn around for both the music lover and the gamer (the function of changing the voice is a separate stone - although it will be enough for a couple of times, it will definitely lift your mood). You can also note the virtual 7.1 sound, which allows you to give the headphones a "new life" (I mainly use the first generation Kingston HyperX Cloud, although sometimes I connect the Sony MDR-EX450 when on the road) - this function is the most it for watching movies. For such money, this gravitapap is one of the best, so if you are looking for a portable option for a computer / phone / tablet and if you get it on sale - take it! πŸ‘

Pros
  • 1.: Excellent sound (but with reservations - read below) 2.: Dimensions are slightly larger than a flash drive 3.: Low power consumption 4.: Excellent price 5.: Virtual 7.1 sound, though without shamanism in any way (though only for Windows, why - read below) 6.: A small USB plug on a small "lace", which will allow you to place it almost anywhere 7.: Although it seems at first the case is easily soiled and the cable is flimsy - in fact for many years, but still in excellent condition
Cons
  • 1.: Not all devices will work adequately with it, so I advise you to first read the specifications for this "whistle" if you are going to use it with consoles (according to the packaging, it works with PS4, but did not check for lack thereof) 2.: The special utility "Creative BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro", which allows you to unleash the potential of this DAC, is only available for Windows 7 and newer, which is extremely inconvenient 3.: The type of gadget connection is outdated USB 2.0, which even at the time of purchase by me in 2022-2022 is no longer convenient 4.: There are delivery options without a splitter from the box for a combo headset jack, so I advise you to check 5.: Actually, the headphone jack itself is combined (although it’s more convenient for someone)
