It's not silk and while you can call it "silky," it is still just shiny polyester.I haven't had any issues with the pillowcase coming off. One reviewer suggested a zipper, which would be nice, but the pillowcase does have a 6" pocket that comes over the top of the pillow (see pictures) so it is not wide open. This pillowcase is wonderful. It's silky enough without being too slippery. I chose the gold color which is definitely not the color in the photo. It's looks okay with my sheet set though. Which is why I gave 4 stars. I'm not sure what lighting set up they had when photographing, but in no way is it realistic.It's hard to say if this is helping to keep my hair smooth because I still wake up with bed head and frizzies.All in all I like the product.

While the product looks decent it definitely doesn't perform like other Satin pillow cases I have used. In the 4+years that I have been using a Satin case due to chemo hairloss I have never woke up with a matted mess of hair like I have with this one. Very disappointed, didn't pay to save a few dollars with this purchase.

I just bought another one of these pillowcases for my wife and myself as this is our second one which we really enjoy. May cause facial creams or makeup to transfer onto the pillowcase!

I really like the way this pillow feels. I don't know if it actually is doing anything any different for my hair or skin, but I still like it. The only thing is this pillow case is really big. I ordered a standard and a king for two different pillow sizes, but it's really big on both. I tried the standard pillow case on a king size pillow to see if it would fit snugly on the king size pillow, but it just doesn't fit.

These are very soft, & definitely silky, but they are just a tad too big for my king size pillow, so I still end up getting a pillow crease mark on my face which I was hoping to avoid by buying these. I got the blush color and it is not as deep as the photo. I actually hate the color- would look good in a little girls room. It had fraying on the whole pillow case when I opened it from the packaging. I washed it asap and they fell out but it's a fine pillow case. This is a truly soft, satiny pillowcase that stays cool throughout the night and keeps my hair from becoming a frizzy mess by morning. I don't have any issues with my pillow sliding around on the bed, but I'm using a heavy memory foam pillow. This case washes and dries well with no pilling and is a lovely, crisp white that matches my sheets. If you are looking for a satin pillowcase at a reasonable price, this definitely fits the bill.
