Description of πŸ”₯ Rutland Grapho Glas Gasket Pellet Cmt Kit

3/4" rope, 7-feet long, 1.3oz cement. Convenient package includes graphite-impregnated gaskets and a single-use tube of EZ-Spread gasket cement to make replacing your stove or fireplace gasket painless. Rutland gaskets last longer than traditional gaskets, resist unraveling, and impede creosote or soot adhesion. Replace your old, worn out gasket in your fireplace, or wood, pellet, or coal stove to restore it's efficiency and safety. Grapho-Glas gaskets are the best choice for replacing your stove gasket.

MUCH smaller than advertised

The product ordered was advertised as having a 3/4" diameter but after installing it on our door which requires a 3/4" rope it gave up almost 1/8" gaps throughout the route. um. This rope is significantly smaller in diameter than advertised making it unusable and a waste of money. I ended up buying a new set of a more expensive brand (also 3/4" rope) which worked great.

Remove the door to install.

Remove the cotter pins from the door and place them on the glass. With a flat head screwdriver I removed 90% of the old glue. Installation was very easy and I just lit my first fire on 10/19/2020 and could immediately tell that I had complete control over the airflow with my damper. Last year it was at full capacity due to poor sealing of the door. I recommend changing this seal a year or two. For the record, I burn every night from early November through March or April and my pad has lasted 2…

Not fat enough.

I had a lot of 5/8 rope but decided to buy the correct size according to the manufacturer. Unfortunately, there were large gaps between the door and the oven. I ended up attaching one of the 5/8 pulleys I had on the edge of the door and it's fine now, but I didn't have to. I cleaned all the old gaskets and sealant very carefully (I even sanded and cleaned them to make sure I had good adhesion) and after 3 weeks an edge is already lifting. I have two stoves so I bought two of these so I have one
