Easy enough to install!

I bought this to install over our bedroom slide. Although I installed it by myself, another ladder and person would have been helpful and not just to help guide the topper into place. I was up & down, up & down, move ladder here, move it there. That night, my legs were so tired, but I slept good. The only thing my expensive alpine had, that I could have used during the install was the gutter, which had the slot for the anchor side of the topper, but then it would of had hardly any pitch or angle

Pros
  • The easy-to-use manual operation ensures optimal control for quick and effortless setup
Cons
  • It may obstruct the view from the RV's slide-out areas

Trying to protect Schwintek motors

I purchased these to try to keep water on top of slideout from puddling up when it rains and coming in on the Schwintek motors. These are the slideout's with the 2 zigzag tracks, one mounted on top and one mounted on bottom of exterior part of slideouts. I have had to replace 2 pair of these motors in 3 years and this gets expensive. The Solera Slideout Awning hopefully will help with this problem. It is a great looking product and easy to install. I just wish it had a little more side coverage

Pros
  • Low maintenance, so you won't have to spend a lot of time and money keeping it in top shape
Cons
  • It may be prone to sagging or warping over time

Good so far good for me

All of the screws were missing. That's my review. Took a good 2 hours to locate something that would work. Easy installation after that.

Pros
  • Attractive and economical protection for your slide out
Cons
  • It may require frequent cleaning to maintain its appearance

Slide awning best in my review

This was a blemished slide awning that was $100 off. A great but considering I couldn't find and blemish. Easy to install ( recommend viewing videos ). The only reason I gave it a 4 star is there is too much tension on the spring and it prevents the slide top from going out fully. Recommended

Pros
  • Provides shade and insulation to your RV, keeping it cooler and more comfortable in the summer months
Cons
  • The awning may cause damage to surrounding structures during installation
