Truly cleanses and clarifies. Use a good conditioner afterwards and your hair is clarified for a week. Squeaky clean and the menthol smell does not linger in hair but does completely clean scalp and residue out of hair. This is not meant to be used more than once a week.

Pros
  • Love the product - had a medicinal smell to it
Cons
  • Extremely drying does not work

Good product to be used once a week

I love this product. I use once a week before my Kerastase mascara and it leaves my hair shine and smooth. Applying it only once is enough. It smells good. Unfortunately, delivery was not very good. I got my product smashed and the box was opened.

Pros
  • The only clarifying shampoo that will work on my daughter's super thick hair
Cons
  • While formulated for oily hair, some users have found that the shampoo actually makes their hair excessively dry and brittle

NOT free of sulfates although they say it is

Says "free of sulfate” but guess what the second ingredient is? Uh yeah, sodium laurel sulfate. So they lie. Blatantly.

Pros
  • Beauty & Personal Care
Cons
  • While marketed as a clarifying shampoo, PHYTO Phytoneutre Clarifying Detox Shampoo is not effective at removing heavy product buildup or stubborn dandruff

but smells amazing, definitely detoxing

Bit too hair stripping for me, but smells amazing, definitely detoxing, not necessarily a frequent use shampoo. The small bottle size means that frequent repurchasing is necessary for those who use it regularly!

Excellent Shampoo - my new review

I have been using this shampoo for years. PHYTO has changed the formulation on its shampoos quite a bit over the years, I’m glad they left this one alone. This shampoo lathers up very well with just a small amount, rinses clean and readies your hair for conditioning treatment. It cleans effectively. It is now labeled as a "clarifying” shampoo, so expect that your hair will be squeaky clean. Some people find that this means it is drying. I disagree. I think subsequent treatments work better if…

Pros
  • An excellent gentle shampoo that leaves your hair clean but soft.
Cons
  • The shampoo does not lather very well, making it difficult to evenly distribute throughout the hair

Did the trick: my feedback

I had a very oily sticky patch probably from another shampoo which I couldn’t get out of my hair. I used this once, without any product afterwards and found the hair much less oily, however still shiny and soft. Will continue to use once a week.

Pros
  • Takes care of ALL the daily abuse I pile on to my locks.
Cons
  • The scent can be quite strong and overwhelming for those who are sensitive to fragrance
