🐠 Mylivell Submersible Auto Thermostat Aquarium Heater: Adjustable Temperature & Suction Cups for Fish Tank Water Heating Review

This heater has been used in a 40 gallon aquarium for a few weeks now and works great. This little heater works better than expected and made this 40 gallon tank pretty quick and maintains a constant comfortable temperature to keep my fish happy. If I ever get an aquarium again I will definitely order this heater again.

Update: I received an updated version of this product from the seller which has a longer cord. New is about 4 feet. It's still a bit small for some tank setups that stand on stands, but if you're standing on a table or counter this should work just fine. Original: This works well for a heater, but only has a two-foot power cord.

It's just a great heater! My tortoise loves it so much that sometimes she even tries to climb on it. When I first bought this heater, I turned it on with no water in the tank, and when I poured water into the tank, the glass broke. It was my fault for pouring cold water on the glass heater, but I liked the heater so much I bought another one.

So far it's amazing. I live in Alaska and it's getting cold, so the outside temperature has affected the temperature of my aquarium. This got him into the safe zone within 24 hours of me plugging in the heater. There is a star deduction for the handle for hanging the temperature. It's very difficult to spin, but I was able to get it to 32. It keeps the water temperature between 76-78 which is ideal for most fish.

Works. The only problem is that the instructions are in Chinese and English is difficult to read. I melted one of the suction cups when I turned off the heater. The packaging didn't say that auctions should only be placed on top. But otherwise it works. update it It's been in use for about three years and it's worked the whole time. The mother broke it after dropping it. Bought again. Great heater for the price.

After further research I realized that the power might be too high for my tank size (5 gallons) but since I couldn't find a concrete answer I decided to give it a try anyway. It's doing the job so far! I like how I can gradually increase the temperature so as not to shock the fish and then it will regulate itself. The orange indicator lights up when heating up and goes out when the desired temperature is reached. I hope this lasts for a while!

I read some of the negative reviews but ordered the heaters anyway. I was very impressed with the heaters and immediately ordered 6 more. I have been keeping aquarium fish for over 50 years. I've had many types of aquarium heaters, both expensive and not so expensive, but this little 100 watt heater keeps my Beta tanks accurate to within a degree or two and I've had no problems with them. Can't speak to their durability but the 8 I have now feels great.

This thermometer is abnormal as it does not heat according to the temperature parameters. I started low when I put it in my aquarium. At 76 degrees, that's exactly what I expected. It went up to 82 degrees! I lowered it to 74 and she's at 80 degrees. Excessive temperature fluctuations can easily lead to the death of the fish. Luckily, my marine fish already live in tropical climates, so the temperature spike didn't shake their systems. But for others, please read the reviews before you buy this
