The ties are cute and easy to tie, postcards take ink well and I can use both a ballpoint and fountain pen to write care instructions. I bought them as a gift. They are well made and durable. I did not use the hemp floss that came with it as the floss was cut into lengths too short for my needs. It would be better to have a ball of yarn. I ended up buying rubber bands to thread through the hole in the tag and attach to my gifts. These charms look exactly like the pictures. They have proven themselves very well as gift tags. I appreciated that the lines were pretrimmed since I had collected some of these tags, but found them to be a bit short for my liking. If you thread the rope through the tag as shown in the picture (like I usually do) you'll barely have enough rope left to tie to a bag, around a bow or whatever.
