Good price, difficult to use if this is your first time

I was surprised that it actually has a sticky side, the first application was painful but. The product has good elongation, very good. I apply it with water and without water it works best without water, stick it on one side and stretch it around the tail light. I bought two thinking it would be enough for my two cars but it was just enough for my Kia Forte. Let's see how he behaves in the next few weeks.

Suggested Price

I have never used vinyl to date but I can say it was fairly easy and painless. I only did one tail light because I didn't have time for the rest. You will need a heat gun, a vinyl squeegee, a razor, and a spray bottle of water. One light lasted about an hour and it's not ideal. There are still small bubbles and a few creases on the edges. I think this is due to my inexperience. I hope the bells and whistles come out but if not I will be buying this product again. I'm giving 4 stars because I've

Cons
  • Expandable

Cracks and expands to a completely different color with any heat.

I bought this and tried to apply it to a set of car taillights to make it lighter. Don't do it at normal temperature. The material stretches when heated and the wing looks very different when stretched than when it was lying flat and I barely stretched it. When you need to get really difficult sections, just rip it. If you don't put it on a flat surface, I don't recommend it. Save yourself the heartache and go for 3m or another well known brand, I've done it now and everything works great with…

Difficult to work with, but good!

Delivery without instructions. I had researched this before so I was aware of the bladder issues. They are inevitable. There is a front and back covered with a very thin sheet of polyethylene. Both must be removed. Yes, 2 of these for those claiming it's not sticky. One side is sticky so some water will help with application. Flatten the foil with a blow dryer and apply from the edge outwards, trying to get rid of the bubbles as they appear. If you need professional work, do it in store. I've…

Not worth a penny or time.

Firstly I have a lot of experience with vivvid and 3m films. In the last year alone I've sealed 5 entire cars and over 30 cars - tail/headlights/fog/accent lights and interiors. However, this is probably the worst film I've ever used. The adhesive pulls away from the film very easily, meaning that anything you apply it to will be covered by the adhesive backing when stretched (and it will). It doesn't stretch/heat up like other brands. I've tried different methods, from slow and low heat to…

Great but for a weird use case

So I go around my bedroom and paint all those stupid green, blue and yellow LEDs red. This stuff is cheap and great for that. I can cut, peel, glue and trim and now everything is in the red. I've covered all the power strip LEDs, phone charging LEDs, clock radio LEDs, BiPAP and O2 concentrator LCD panels, and the water level check connector on the BiPAP which can glow blue when it's cold. It's silly that a sleep aid device can use anything other than red, but it fixes the situation. Stickiness…

Don't despair!

When the broken roll of film arrived I immediately felt like I wasted my money. I ran to the reviews to see what other people thought of the film. I read all the one star reviews and tried to agree with what we got. I've seen rookie reviews and pro reviews but they all sounded like the first to tint taillights for me. This was also supposed to be my first time so I thought why don't you try it! I explored YouTube for 30 minutes and then tried my first part. There isn't much tint film so I…

Came in the wrong packaging, the film was crumpled.

I've been working with headlight tint film for a while and also tinted car windows and at first the thickness confirmed it was the right application. A thin protective layer on top when wringing and a good glue on the other side. But both of the films I bought were packaged WITHOUT a hard core, so there were permanent creases every few inches when the film was unwrapped. I tried fixing it with a heat gun but it wouldn't go away. You cannot ship this type of product without a core. When I buy…
