Hands Down the Worst Thing I've Ever Bought Off Revain

Product is basically made to cross-thread. Instructions even warn it's very easy to do, as if that forgives astonishingly incompetent design.especially for something that will be removed and installed multiple times in a single outing. When installing, you must tighten the adapter in the RotoPax first, then install the elbow into a nearly blind hole. Slightest misstep and the cheap plastic is irrevocably damaged. I get how readers might easily dismiss this review as user incompetence. Believe…

Pros
  • Like the kit but I choose not to use elbow. To me stuck out to far.
Cons
  • Flow isn’t very good.

Great concept but needs a couple improvements.

This is a great concept and does work ok. Theres a couple downfalls though. The metal sleeve that the black plastic threaded male adapter screws into leads to the plastic adapter getting cross threaded very easily. Now if you didnt need to disassemble it, it wouldnt be an huge issue. However you have to take it apart every time you take it off of the Rotopax to use the original Rotopax cap, spout and rubber seal. You have to use the original Rotopax cap’s rubber seal to make this work and not…

Pros
  • Convenient Dispensing
Cons
  • The spout may be prone to clogging, leading to difficulty dispensing water

I'll buy another on my review.

It works and makes my water rotopax that much more useful. Little pricey, but looking at the materials they look like decent quality - so far very happy. If they hold up a good 2 years, I'll give them another star. But today, I'll order another one. I'd recommend these if you have rotopax/s. Update after a year; started leaking like a sieve. Not recommended. Was good when it worked.

Pros
  • Rotopax Water (RX-W) Container NOT Included
Cons
  • The spout may not have a built-in filter, meaning the water may not be as clean as desired

Good not great. in my review

Great idea but. mine leaks just a little. I’ll probably be able to fix it, but I followed the instructions. Also, it’s supposed to be "glugless” Mine seems starved for air and very little flow for the first min or two. Then is bubbles and starts flowing better. Maybe I’m using it all wrong but it could be better. Quality of materials seems good.

Pros
  • Versatile: The spout is compatible with a wide range of Rotopax water containers, making it an ideal accessory for anyone who wants to enjoy clean, fresh water on the go, whether they're camping, hiking, or traveling
Cons
  • The spout may not fit securely on all Rotopax containers, leading to potential leakage during use

Hard to find item in my review

Perfect for what I am using it for. I have an off-road tent trailer, and I use this valve on an water jug I carry on the trailer. I would give it five stars if it was not so pricey

Pros
  • Durable: Constructed from high-quality materials, the GoWesty Spout Kit is built to last, meaning that you won't have to worry about wear and tear when you're out exploring the great outdoors
Cons
  • The spout may be more expensive than other water container spouts on the market

Not a bad product but needs some work. Orientation seems awkward to me, see my pics for an alternative. It sorely needs a cover to keep out dust and dirt. The threads are the weak spot. Be careful when threading this as its plastic to metal, you get one chance. If you Muff it you can take it to a hardware store and find a female pipe or PVC/ABS end, 3/4 inch, NPT threaded. Thread and tighten firmly this may straighten the threads. The Rotopax isn’t real stable in the vertical or on edge…

Pros
  • Easy to use and assemble. Use it mainly for my attached water rotopax.
Cons
  • The package I received was missing hardware.- Damian

Great rotopax accessory

Very convenient and works well. I kept this spout on while wheeling and it did leak a little bit, but was fine when not bouncing around on the trail. It really should come with a screw cap to allow for quick swap with a regular spout. if you only have one cap you have to disassemble the spout to switch them which is a bit of a pain.

Pros
  • Great product. Fits and works perfect on my RotoPax water container.
Cons
  • The spout may not be securely locked onto the Rotopax water container, potentially causing spillage during transportation

Needs improvement But a good product

I was happy to find the kit and be able to run a spout on the rotopax we have mounted to a molle panel in the rear of the 4runner. The kit is quality components. My only true gripe if the stainless insert that you thread the black elbow into does not match the thread cut of the elbow perfectly. due to the metal to plastic transition it want to cross thread the elbow. I spent a solid 10-15 min just to get it started with the threads square. Once together it works flawlessly.

Pros
  • Installing the GoWesty Spout Kit on your Rotopax water container is an easy and straightforward process that can be completed in a matter of minutes, ensuring that you won't waste any time fiddling around with complicated instructions or tools
Cons
  • The spout may not be suitable for use with hot liquids, as it may become too hot to touch

Very functional kit if you need the functionality!

This is one of those products that you know you need once you experience not having it. Simply put, it solves the issue of having a bulk water jug which is convenient for carrying large amounts of water, but using it in smaller quantities. With this kit, no longer do I have to lift the Rotopax to pour. And no more acciental over fills, wasting water. As most have reported and highlighted in the instructions, Do not Overtighten and Do not Cross thread the fitting. This kit is a little costly…

Pros
  • Tethered Dust Cap
Cons
  • The spout may not be the most durable, potentially breaking with heavy use or exposure to the elements

The concept is fantastic, but the execution is not quite there yet. Threading the plastic elbow is difficult at best to start without cross-threading. And because you can only twist on only a few threads deep, it can leak if you don't use a wrench to get them really tight together. The problem is you have to disassemble to remove the stock RotoPax screw cap and gasket to reinstall on the stock spout to seal the RotoPax if you don't want to keep this attached while traveling (mine are located…

Pros
  • Delivered fast and great product. Very happy and worth money.
Cons
  • The spout may not fit on other brands of water containers, limiting its versatility

Good idea not executed well

Threaded parts did not fit well together. GoWesty sent out a new part, still did not thread together. GoWesty sent out more parts. Finally threaded together alright but after installed, water doesn’t flow well. Since this was designed specifically for the RotoPax container, I would think it would have been tested and corrected or redesigned. Support was good, product not so much.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • The spout may be too short for some users, making it difficult to pour water into larger containers
