The guarantee is meaningless. Nonetheless.

Update 3 September 2019 Installed the EcoSmart 11 unit myself. There are no installation problems. The block works very well. But. The warranty is useless for DIYers, so to hell with that. Three stars is all you get for trusting your product so little that you have to skimp on the warranty.1. This was a replacement for a 20 year old Envirotech tankless unit (from the store) so I had already connected the required power supply and connected the unit.2. Installation was easy too, although the…

WARNING: This water heater WILL EXPLODE SPARKS and FIRE will erupt from the top of the unit. Luckily I was there with a fire extinguisher and was able to turn it off to avert a potential disaster. Sparks literally flew out of the top of the water heater. I have never seen an electrical product spark so strongly in my life. Orange smoke poured from the top of the unit after all the sparks. Thank goodness I had a fire extinguisher handy and was there when it happened otherwise there could have…

Warranty expires

My device started tripping my main switch after 16 months. I contacted support and they wanted me to check something. Wire size, connectors, correct switch, etc. I've done everything and even replaced the switch. Still failed. They sent a troubleshooting guide and I followed all the steps again. The manual said I couldn't tear off the label to get inside the device. I opened up the unit and measured the correct voltages on the heating elements and ran a resistance check on each of the heating…

Great product so far.

I've had this product for a month now and it's great. Outstanding performance, consistently hot water and significant energy savings. I installed it myself and have a few tips: Make sure you use a #6 electrical cord, this is the recommended and safe gauge cord. You will need three wires and a 60 amp switch. For water pipes. You don't need a hot water hose. You just need to connect the home water pipes to the water heater using pressure fittings (which come with the water heater). Make sure that

BAD PRODUCT! EVEN WORSE SUPPORT!

I bought this unit after my regular water heater started leaking in December. The device was installed and has been working for about 2 months. I live in Miami where this unit (ECO 11) should be more than capable of running a shower and hot water faucet at the same time - THE UNIT CANNOT SUPPORT MORE THAN ONE WATER OUTLET AT A TIME - and I assume it has since in installed in a warm climate Miami, it can even provide hot water for the shower while working on its own. Otherwise it would have…
