Perfect replacement set

These needles have just the right sharpness when knitting with sock yarn. I make a lot of sock heads so the small size and 8 inch cord is just right with these tips. Stainless steel is smooth but not so slippery that your stitches fall off when working with bamboo or silk blends. nearly perfect. Cables have no memory. The case offers enough space for the supplied needle gauge, stitch marker and cable. There is also enough space to add additional cable dimensions. The needle size is laser…

Big set of replacement needles

I love ChiaoGoo replacement needles (now I have two sets. Spin 5" and these Twist 4" tips). 4-inch yarns are great for knitting anything that requires a 16-inch circle, like hats and small flat items, but you can attach spin-and-twist knits of any length to knit larger items like sweaters and to knit blankets. I personally have to hold my needles differently to not put pressure on the cable where it enters the connector, but you can already hold the tips so pressure isn't an issue. They have…

Great add-on set.

Tried HiyaHiyas and Addi Turbos. The HiyaHiya are great, the needles are sharp, the brushed metal is smooth but not too smooth, but the case and curved cables made me love them less. I like the sleekness of Addi Turbos, but sometimes they're too smooth (when I lace them up) and their cables get twisted. I love him. The cables don't kink, the needles are sharp, and the body is the best kit I've seen. All the needles stay in place and the accessories are great. I bought this 4 inch set in…

The best of the best!

These needles are the best I have ever used. I went with the shorter 4 inch set because I have small hands and they fit my hands well. They have good sharp needles for knitting lace and the yarn slides over the needles. The metal is brushed, which is useful when working with very slippery yarn. This cable is available in US sizes 2 through 15. It contains several cables of large and small sizes. The small braids fit needles 2 through 8 and the large braids fit needles 9 through 15. The large…

Good investment, makes knitting less frustrating.

Wonderful! You won't appreciate a good set of knitting needles until you try knitting with thin, stiff real estate knitting needles. Now knitting is much more fun. The cable doesn't bang like cheap nylon and the cable transitions are smooth. Each needle and wire is labeled, telling you whether it requires a large or small wire or needle. I don't know how much time I spend measuring unmarked needles. You simply choose the right set and off you go. I totally get her sock pins! Interchangeable…

Why didn't I buy them sooner

If you're taking up a hobby and don't know if you're going to knit that much I wouldn't bother buying these but if you honestly knit all the time and want something that is comfortable and smooth, GET IT WITHOUT BUYER HISTORY. I bought them and immediately regretted them (although the price is incredibly cheap compared to most). I'm incredibly frugal when it comes to knitting costs, but I was very uncomfortable with my spare Takumi Bamboo set. I often didn't even take on projects because my…

ChiaoGu, I love you!

I've wanted a set of replacement needles for a long time. There are so many, how could I choose? Every knitter has a specific style and needs. Although I mostly knit Continental style (yarn in left hand) I don't think it matters when choosing my needle sets. My criteria are discussed below. I referenced several fixed length circular needles of various sizes to get a feel for how the tips and cable work. Please see the photo above. It shows the difference between a US 7 needle (item A) and three
