Add Vintage Charm To Your Space With The Alytimes Typewriter Music Box Review

How anyone could give this product 5 stars is beyond me. And certainly don’t give it as a gift as you will be embarrassed. It is cheaply made out of cheap plastic. Mine did not move as it was suppose to so I wrote to the company and asked what to do. Here is their reply."Dear buyerThis product is not bad, you just need to install it up according to the picture. The product was adorable but broken. The box had been opened. There was a post it note with a handwritten note that a part was broken. A turning key was affixed with scotch tape. It would not start and the lever to turn it off was broken.Such a disappointment to get a broken product. We are sending it back. May or may not reorder as it just adorable but defective product.

The music box works good but the exterior box was ripped, crushed, and opened. I had ordered several different packages from amazon and they all came in one large box. Every package that I receive was in good condition except for this music type writer box. In my case I didn't need the box but if you where planning on getting it for a gift and want the outside of it to look good then I would take that in consideration.

I was very disappointed when I received this. Especially when I was so excited too. It came broken at the top and pieces at the bottom. I expected it to be made out of plastic but not this poorly made. The sound is not the best that I was hoping for.

Having read the reviews, I expected a small, flimsy piece of junk. That's was OK; for less than $16, you don't expect a porcelain music-box collectible masterpiece. Turns out this typewriter is bright and cheerful, functional, and larger than expected. I am very pleased.

Very lovely product. I was happy that it was much larger than I had anticipated. I love the overall look and vintage appeal it has. My daughter will love it. The only negative thought that I had is the actual sound of the music sounds a little off. Like a haunted music box. Just a little "clicky" and "clanky" I would suggest this buy for the price though. My daughter will love it.

This product came damaged. The return bar was broken off and taped to the keyboard and the music box does not work. How can I get a replacement for this item?

I know the return-bar detaches, but the drawer handle was broken + detached on delivery making it difficult to open w/o long fingernails to pry. The snapped half wasn't in box so I cannot glue it. It feels cheap overall but not much less than expected for the price.

My mom loved it, it was a great Mother's Day gift. The musicbox have a thing to twist but if you want to listen to the music, you have to open the drawer which I think is very neat. Although the musicbox is made out of plastic, it is not like a super cheap plastic.Overall, I really recommend buying this.

Like it.bought two, one for me and one for a gift. Was able to slide "typewriter" paper with a saying in mine. Also like the music box part.

This is the cheapest made item I have ever gotten on Best Buy. In addition, it was broken when I opened it. It is not fit as a toy for a child due to the pieces which break loose way too easily. It is made of very cheap plastic. The music does not work at all. Even if it had ever worked I am certain it would stop working soon anyway. It is too cheap to put on an office desk and too cheap to be displayed as a knickknack in your home.

I bought this for myself since I am a writer. It was bigger than I expected, which I liked! At first, I thought it was broken when I received it, because the music box came already wound but would not play. However, I realized that the little drawer at the bottom slides out. The music plays when you slide it open a little---and the carriage return moves as it plays! So cute. The sound quality was like listening to a juvenile play an instrument for the first time, but it got a good laugh and was overall a huge hit. I bought it as a gift for a friend and she absolutely loved it.

The product is small but for the price it was great. I used it as a prop for Back-To-School Minis and parents/kids loved it. Yes its made from plastic but for the price not a huge problem.

Box came smashed which was disappointing as it was a birthday gift. I sent it anyway. But the appearance of the box made it seem like I bought it at a flea-market.

Beautiful item. Much bigger than expected and the bar moves when the music play as the music play after you whine it up and open the draw on the box. This is totally a great gift as I gifted this to myself for a memorable I'm making showing my interest in vintage items. I love luv this item and recommend it completely.

Bought it as a gift for an antique typewriter fan, the attention to detail and overall construction is just beautiful. Suffice it to say, they loved it!
