Did the job, but not with ease.

I also bought it for work but it was very tight. I think if it were made longer it would be easier to use and manage. For the price I think it's ok. If I had to do this for a living I would definitely choose a higher quality tool. But for my one time use it worked.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Worked great! People said this job sucked

Worked great! People said this job sucks, but as long as you listen for the slight 'click' you know it did its job and you can take the filter out! On another topic, expect gasoline to spurt everywhere when you unscrew the filter. first rehearsal. (I didn't depressurize the fuel line, but it wasn't the end of the world)

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Worked: Tools and Equipment

Yes I had to replace the knock sensors on my truck which meant pulling the air intake and disconnecting the fuel lines. This little guy will work for one, maybe two, but if I need to disconnect fuel lines again I'll probably buy a good set. It's a little difficult to manoeuvre. Don't get me wrong, this will work, it's just not an option I would use if I was regularly removing the fuel lines.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Retired

Worked great, disconnected the fuel lines in a few minutes.

Used to replace the fuel pump on a 2000 Lincoln Town car. Worked great, disconnected the fuel lines in just a few seconds with no fuss. I've tried small plastic rings and they've failed miserably. I probably spent 20 minutes with those who tried unsuccessfully to remove a line. I picked up this tool and the same line popped up in about 10 seconds.

as advertised - no problems

worked perfectly, no problems. It's just cheap metal and a rod, so I'm thinking it could be a bit cheaper ($5?). but I'm glad if it never needs to be replaced. --- Make sure you start the engine, pull the fuel pump fuse, wait for it to stall/blown to depressurize the system, wear safety goggles and gloves, have rags ready, write Check your mileage for the new filter and wait until all exhaust/fumes will not go away before starting the engine. pressurize the system. Before starting, turn the key

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Doesn't fit everything

Not made for fuel filter tubes

My review is divided down the middle. The tool may work if it actually matches the filter I removed. I'm sure it works well with fuel filters, it fits really tight. Unfortunately this was not the case for me. I was working on a base 2005 Ford Explorer 2wd 4.0L V6. Only one side is clamped in the fitting. We also checked the consistency of the diameter with the new filter, which later mirrored the diameter of the pipe from the old filter. The tool did not fit. I will save the tool for future use

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Low serviceability

This metal tool is way better than cheap little plastic tools which can hurt your fingertips trying to loosen the internal clips holding the fuel filter on my Ford F150. I wish I had bought these a long time ago. PS my little videos went in the trash LOL). The product is approximately 6 inches long and each end is a different size for Ford quick release. Fits perfectly on my 2005 F150 FX4 and gave me the ability to remove the old (original equipment) fuel filter without damaging anything…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Contact Seller

The tool serves its purpose!

It is important to relieve fuel pressure in the fuel line by removing the fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse and then cranking the car to the stop. The tool is easy to use. I used it to disconnect the quick fuel line from the fuel filter for a 2002 Ford Explorer. I have read several reviews on the best way to use this tool on a Ford quick connect connector. I used the 3/8 end of the tool and inserted it into the connector. The trick is to use enough force to pop the inner clip open so you can…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
