Best for indoor use

I received the product later than promised (I paid shipping for two days) and there were no instructions for use. My wooden staircase was technically dried prior to coating and the weather was dry for several weeks but temperatures dropped below freezing at night and rarely above 50 degrees during the day. Probably marginal. 3 days after application it rained a little and the tape burned. And of course, rain and ice are reasons why you might need a product like this. It might work better if a…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Works great outdoors!

Goes perfectly with the playset I built for my kids. I was afraid that they would slip on the wooden stairs I built. When I bought it I didn't know it needed adhesion promoter so I had to order it after I got the anti slip tape. They recommend an adhesive activator for outdoor woodwork. I made a cardboard cutout out of an old box that was slightly smaller than the area I covered with non-slip tape. Sprayed and then taped. It has been raining almost every day for several months. There is no sign

perfect product provided it passes the test

Aside from unexpected outdoor durability issues, this product is as good as it gets. The backing peels off easily, the adhesive applies evenly and sticks to cleaned surfaces like no other, and there are no creases from over-twisting. The only criticism is the packaging. You apply several large dabs of glue to the free end of the roll and tape it to the sticky side of the next layer. It's a totally unnecessary hassle to sand down the glue (or remove the entire outer layer) when the item is in a…

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Works perfectly. Adhesion is good.

I bought this to attach to a gun to improve my grip. 1 roll is enough to use multiple weapons, at least 10 depending on how many you use. The texture is great and allows me to better buy my pistols when shooting. So far there have been no problems removing it. The instructions say to use some kind of primer from 3M, but I didn't use that. Still holding up great. Simply wipe down any surface you apply it to with rubbing alcohol, stick on and heat with a hair dryer a few times, applying pressure…

Bad work outside

I striped our outdoor wooden staircase and it looked great until the first rain. The photo above was before the rain. The wood had a fresh primer and two coats of paint and was dry - the weather was nice, the temperature was around 70 degrees and I rolled the product tightly on the stairs after installation. After two days it started raining and the strips slid down and lifted easily - like they had lost 90% of their stickiness. I called the phone number on the package and it turns out I wasn't

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No work

Exactly what we had hoped for.

This protection adheres very well to varnished and natural wood (we use it in our children's home). It was easy to use and has really good traction - I doubt kids could slip on it even if they wanted to. Exactly what we had hoped for. I really appreciate that the last inch of the roll could be used - companies often use an adhesive product to attach it to the roll - not the case here. No tread is lost - the base attaches to the roller so the entire tread can be used. Pros: Traction bead is…
