Review on Protect Your Dell XPS 15 Keyboard With Ultra-Thin TPU Cover - A Must-Have Accessory! by Randy Washington

Fits the Inspiron 7579 2-in-1

UPDATE Sept 2022 . Three years later, today I notice a bit of dirt between certain keys (E-R, A-S-D) , that won't wipe off, because the dirt is under this protector. The thin silicone has a few invisible cracks on those keys, from being flexed a million times. So I'm ordering a new one. I want to fix it before it's too late.btw, double-sided tape around the entire perimeter worked wonders. Highly recommend that. End.]My keys got dusty, dirty and probably wet, because cleaning and vacuuming didn't fix it. I just replaced the original k/board. The 7579 k/board is deep in there so this required removing all the laptop's guts. Virtually everything, including the display. It was not something I'd choose to do again. So, having been through that, I am thrilled that this k/board protector fits. It's not too thick. It will protect my new k/board from spills, dirt and eyelashes. If I were to improve this thing, first I'd make the border around the keys wider. (It's about 1/8 inch wide.) Also flatten it. The outside edge curves upward, slightly. This upward curve allows a fingernail or sheet of paper to get under it, and then the protector comes off.The wider border would easily be stuck to the laptop with 2-sided tape. I plan on doing this anyway. The manufacturer provided a few spots and lengths of tape, to hold down a loose corner, but I'll try taping the entire perimeter with long, very thin strips.
