Review on StreamCam Webcam by Logitech with Tripod Stand: Optimize Your Video Streaming Experience by A Phichet Seedok ᠌

It's not quite what I expected, overall it's ok.

I don't even understand who this camera is for because it's still impossible to rebuild it in terms of a picture with normal light. However, for those who are passionate about USB-C, it will be a factor that repels them. I gave it a lot of thought throughout the week, but then other things came up, and I ended up forgetting to return it. Now I just have to wait and keep my fingers crossed that things will improve eventually. The remark is applicable to software version 2.06.33. I really hope that the developers will focus on the quality of the picture (I really hope that the matrix itself is in the camera of the norms) and on the algorithms for its processing rather than on repeating the functionality of other software solutions that are already available. I really hope that this happens.

Pros
  • Extremely high quality, made with high-grade components. The cable is a separate piece that is quite substantial and comes equipped with Velcro for securing any surplus wire. A separate platform that can be mounted on a tripod is included in the package. It has a very chic appearance. Possibility to rotate the camera in its housing physically. A definite advantage is offered by USB-C for users who already own it.
Cons
  • - It's a shame that the picture is of such poor quality for the price. I believed that I could fix it by using better light, but the camera does not have actual brightness settings. Instead, it attempts to build brightness across the entire field of the frame. As a result, the face is extremely overexposed. Please provide the sensitivity settings and manual shutter speed settings! The built-in software only allows for post-processing tweaks (brightness and contrast), which makes the situation much more difficult. - The program is in its infancy and cannot be operated in its current state (tested only on MacOS). The computer coolers turn off after opening, but if you use it in third-party software, everything will be OK. When you call up in any piece of software, the configurations will be the defaults; however, when you call up in the proprietary program, the configurations will be used (and sometimes they completely disappear). Because the camera does not have the capability to rotate the picture automatically and the software must do so instead, you will not be able to use FaceTime while the mode is set to portrait. - The lack of an adapter to a regular USB-A, even those who have a C connector, not all of them have a lot of them in the computer, and for example, I don’t need a large number of frames per second (not happiness in them).
