Worse than Milo canvases

I bought a set of 12x12 Milo, Fixsmith, and Arteza canvases to compare and will buy the best going forward. I knew these were cheap and wasn't expecting anything great, but I expected the more expensive canvases to be no worse than the cheaper ones. The Fixsmith were more expensive than the Milo, and they're also noticeably worse quality than the Milo. The most obvious difference between them is that many of the Fixsmith canvases are not rectilinear (their corners are noticeably angled at an angle that is not 90 degrees.) There were also noticeably more irregularities on the surface (cracks or bumps in the gesso) for the Fixsmith. Overall, these are good enough that I'll use them, but I would definitely go with Milo over Fixsmith going forward.

Pros
  • These were perfect for my paint projects. I have paint days with my SO and these work for it.
Cons
  • The sizes included in the pack do not offer enough variation
