Review on Engage Your Child'S Curiosity With The 5 In 1 STEM Kit - The Perfect Educational Building Toy For 8-12 Year Old Boys And Girls by Derrick Villarreal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly recommended, simply AMAZING

I highly recommend this STEM kit. I got it for my 5-year-old twin boys. Of course, I had to do most of the assembling myself but the kids participated. They looked at the instructions, found the right parts and prepared them. The screws are tiny, so I had to insert the screws and start screwing them, and the boys finished the screwing. But their thrills from discovering all the mechanics. Oh, my. It’s worth a lot. So far, we have assembled three models out of five, and they all work (go forward). The car and the aircraft are pushed forward by the air flow created by the propeller that is rotated by the motor. The off-road vehicle is pushed forward by a gear system. It’s so cool to study with kids how these vehicles work. VERY IMPORTANT. For the air craft particularly, use new ALKALINE batteries. They are more powerful than rechargeable ones, which makes a difference. At first, we used a rechargeable battery for the aircraft, and it didn’t go. The propeller was spinning but the aircraft didn’t go forward. However, when we inserted alkaline batteries, the propeller stated to spin much faster, which created the required air flow to push the aircraft forward. I hope my review helped. Enjoy a wonderful STEM time with your kids that this kit provides. UPDATE. We have assembled all the vehicles now. They all work great! They zoom so fast. Each one has its own mechanics. I will be definitely looking for other STEM kits like this one.

Pros
  • 5 different kinds of model cars in one kit: This STEM Kit comes with all of the parts you need to build own model car kits. Innovative STEM projects for kids age 8-12 year old.
Cons
  • May not provide enough guidance for children who struggle with abstract concepts
