Review on Xiaomi Camera Gaming Processor Unlocked by Ada Duniewska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The price/quality ratio is great, I will buy again.

I can’t evaluate performance, because I don’t play, but nothing slows down. I suffered for a long time with the NFC connection - I put on my ears both banks in which I have cards and wrote in support of Google Pay, but then I asked the right question to and understood how to set up NFC in this device. Go to the settings and find the item "Additional functions" and find the NFC block. In the "Location of the security element" column, select the "HCE Wallet" item. By default, the "SIM Wallet" item is set there. See fig. That's all, by completing this simple action, you can safely pay for your purchases anywhere using NFC technology and Google Pay. As for the battery and processor, the additional 500mA is purely eaten up by this processor and the smartphone keeps its competitors at the level of similar 4000mA. At first, the first 3 charges, the battery generally flew away at a wild speed, but then it developed a little. In addition, I gradually killed a bunch of unnecessary applications, and for those who can’t be killed, I turned off autoload and after that the battery began to calmly hold for a couple of days. Which, by the way, is normal for me, I and the 3000mA Huawey P9 lived for 2 days without charging. After some time, there was a problem with the proximity sensor after sticking glass with a black edge. This was expressed in the fact that during a call the screen went out when approaching the ear and no longer turned on until the end of the call. It pissed me off! Found on the internet DECISION. 1. Go to the engineering menu *#*#6484#*#* 2. In the engineering menu, click on THREE dots in the upper right corner - Additional tools 3. Go to item 10 Proximity sensor. 4. Click the Calibrate button. By the way, in the same place you can check the operation of the sensor by moving your finger closer and further away from the sensor, we observe the change in readings. When the sensor is triggered, the upper value changes to 0. READY! In general, I like the device - I recommend it. For such money, a very real machine.

Pros
  • 1. I took it for the sake of the camera. I can’t say that it is perfect, but I haven’t had the best in my smartphone yet. Everything you need is very good. As a photographer, I have something to compare. 2. NFC - was also one of the priorities for choosing this particular model - quite convenient. But it requires special settings in this device (see comment). 3. The screen is normal - large, bright and juicy. Auto brightness is fast. Since I use my smartphone a lot, including for reading books, I am intimidated by the flickering PWM and OLED burn-in, so I prefer the classic IPS. 4. Appearance pleases. Build quality. Glass on the back. 5. Autonomy is normal, but more was expected from a 4500 ma battery. 6. Price - with such a complete set, this is the main advantage of this device. All his critics should not forget that no one has such a set for such money. Well, maybe Honor 9X pro, but there are cockroaches, because of which he did not become my choice.
Cons
  • 1. The camera, although good, is not perfect. 64mp is practically marketing, not to mention a macro camera that is not needed at all. Also a rather strange night shot that tries to make day out of night. The main disadvantage of the camera is that it sticks out strongly on the back panel and it must be protected with a special glass and a case without fail. It is also sad that the camera does not allow you to save pictures in RAW. 2. The case in the kit does not have sides for the camera and does not protect it from scratches. In addition, it is unpleasant to the touch and turns a beautiful smartphone into a banal black remnant. The cover should be bought another, I ordered it, I'm waiting from Ali. 3. The front camera in the waterdrop notch is a bit annoying. Besides, I hardly ever use it. It would be better if it was retractable, and the screen without cutouts. 4. The device is unusually large and heavy - obviously not a female version. But with my paws it’s quite - I’m getting used to it. 5. Screen aspect ratio 19.5:9. This modern tendency to increase the diagonal by increasing the length of the device is annoying. Actually, such a long screen is not needed - a ratio of 2:1 (18:9) would be quite enough. As a result, the problem is the keyboard. I have to type quite a lot of text and this ratio makes typing uncomfortable, both vertically and horizontally. Especially when using the standard 3-row Gboard keyboard. Saves only the Smart Keyboard, which allows the 2022 layout to be placed in 4 rows and make a shift from the bottom in the portrait position. And at the same time, you can’t get rid of Gboard without root, and you don’t want to do root to save NFC. 6. The MediaTek Helio G90T processor is quite gluttonous, so there are no very brilliant results of autonomy. See comment.

Its pros: There are many advantages and opportunities, with the exception of, there is no way to record a conversation. Its cons: The recording of a telephone conversation is blocked by the manufacturer in all MUI 11.

Got pros: Screen, camera, autonomy, nfc Has some cons Too heavy, in a case in general like a brick. The previous redmi 5 plus is much more comfortable and lighter in shape.
