The computer from which you want to access devices connected to the DS-510 must be running the Silex software. You can follow directions all day and not get where you need to be. You should do a Google search and find a link to the Silex website with the installation files you need. Too bad the instructions are useless. However, once you figure it out, the device is wonderful. I even figured out that I could use an old powered USB hub (an old one doesn't work, another one works) and plug additional flash drives and hard drives into it and they'll all show up!
