Great if nothing else suits your fancy.

When I received the package it was not in the official box. Just those yellow bubble bags. Somehow I was wondering if the product is what I ordered or if it's ok. When I opened the bag I found the camera, no damage was found. Luckily. Connected it to my computer, successfully installed the driver, after that it needed the software. So here's the problem: This webcam doesn't support webcam software (Windows Lifecam and Cyberlink). Even my own (Windows Lifecam). Maybe he could record better with these programs, but he's starting to do strange things. For example, the pitch of the audio drops, the video speeds up or slows down, and sometimes the recording stops and locks in its duration. So you can call it a pseudo-recording? Very strange things. However, the webcam is still 720p capable. The autofocus is a little annoying, but once you know how to focus by moving it or lighting it, you're good to go. Best software I've used with it: Windows Live Moviemaker. I didn't have the same problems with Movie Maker as with other programs. So it is better for webcam recording. You can move the webcam 360ยฐ, move it and place it anywhere as long as it stays connected to your computer. OH! Also, there is a small latch on the cord to help keep the cord in place so you don't get tangled. That's a real plus! :D The microphone is excellent. Delays most of the audio compared to most built-in webcams (btw my computer is a Compaq Presario CQ57). The recorded sound is much clearer. A blue light appears every time the webcam is used. from the bottom of the lens. Don't worry, the picture will only be taken if you hold a mirror up to it. The aluminum body is a plus so it doesn't get damaged easily. Overall: great if nothing else suits you.
