I don't understand the bad reviews at all. Many people just assume they know everything and try to install this router without reading the installation instructions. That's the only thing that came to mind after unpacking, connecting cables and going online in less than 15 minutes. All I can say is read the installation instructions that come with the kit. I installed it on the Comcast network. As soon as I turned it on and all the lights came on, the Comcast page appeared and after I selected the "Install Your Own Hardware" option the process was done automatically. Excellent speed and range, no blackouts, overheating etc. I highly recommend this modem/router. I have been using TP-Link products for a very long time and have never been disappointed.
