Great for my purposes

This 4 oz Hancy quilted rug with chalk powder, white, works great for my purposes. I have used a chalk roller when sewing for many years, but have never used a padded rug. But now I make masks every day and cut several layers of fabric at once. I use thick cardboard, a pattern and draw it around the fabric with a chalk pencil or ballpoint pen. When I saw this I thought it could make the process much quicker and easier and it really is. It's basically a flat plastic container, open at the bottom and covered with artificial sheep's wool. There is a hole in the top that you fill with the included chalk powder. The chalk will soak into the sheep's wool and you can rub it into the fabric through a template or around a firm pattern to mark sewing or cutting lines. a piece of chalk. The chalk comes off fairly easily, so if you're trying to mark a large ceiling you'll need to hairspray the chalk marks to hold them in place until you start sewing, otherwise the chalk will come off before you do have everything together . ceiling marked. It works great for me. The mask pieces are quite small and I simply mark a row of pieces with chalk and then cut them out before marking the next row. The chalk stays on the surface for a long time, which is much faster than tracing the pattern by hand. Please note that the initial filling of the trap takes some time for the chalk to penetrate the lambswool. The instructions in the box are very good, so follow them. Subsequent chalk fills take less time.
