I love this trash can but I don't like how it's packaged for shipment. When they package it for shipment it needs to have something inside it to prevent it from being pushed in. Mine arrived a little pushed in on one side but fortunately I was able to push the dent back out hence minus one star. That said, there are bunches of things to like about this trash can. The lid works well and can be used with the included power supply or with 4 D cell batteries. It is quiet and has a little extra spring to it so it closes tight. It lifts right off. Then there is a plastic rectangular ring that you wrap the top of the trash bag around so it does not show on the outside of the can. It slips just inside the top of the can. But here is the best part IMHO, when you pull a full trash bag out of the can, IT DOES NOT SNAG! Even when I've stuffed trash down into it filling it completely, the bag slides out effortlessly! Every other trash can I've had of this style, will snag the bag causing a leak and dirtying the inside of the can.
