Our house is ten years old and has good new doors. This door lock requires you to put two screws in the door and one screw in the door gap. Two screws ripped off the door after just two days! I don't understand how other reviewers can give this door lock four or five stars. This is the worst we have ever used. This door lock attaches to the outside of the door (the side where there is no lock). This is a problem because when you try to open the door, you forget that there is a door lock that only opens the door four inches. After opening the door four inches, the door moves fast enough to pry the door lock bolts out of the door. The door to our garage is an insulated steel door and the bolts were pulled out in two days. Here's the cam lock that worked best for us.
