Blunt tip for knitting and crocheting

I bought interchangeable needles made of high quality stainless steel 5 sizes from four different brands. They intrigued me the most because of the square bar on the needle. I like the bulbous square needle because it keeps the stitches from moving around so much. As for hand support, I could only "feel" the squareness of the needles at the very beginning or end of the row. Interchangeable cording needles mean that the squareness is "hiddenโ€ under all stitches most of the time, especially when knitting products with more than 100 stitches on the round, such as sweaters, shawls, blankets, etc. So the squareness of the needles is pretty much useless for using spare needles - most of the time. I'm a fast knitter who hardly throws yarn and works at the point of a needle. So I need a sharp point to work fast. I also have project diagrams that require two or three stitches to be knitted together. A sharp point is much more effective. The pointy ends also allow me to pick up a skipped stitch with a point instead of using a hook, which is also very handy. Addi needles seem to be the bluntest of any high quality needle I have purchased. So while their cable connection is excellent, for my personal needs the tip of the needle is more of an issue. Therefore I will not buy an addi replacement kit. Also, many knitters prefer a blunter point, so please accept my review in light of my personal knitting style. The quality of addi is simply outstanding. I have several Addis fixed cables. Just wanted to try a square shank in hopes the point would get sharper over the years.
