Review on ARTDOT A4 USB Powered Light Box For Tracing: Brightness Adjustable With Ultra Slim Design For Diamond Painting, Copy Sketching, And Drawing by Brian Stepp

So I purchased the A3 light board to do my Diamond paintings and on the very first use I noticed the light board got extremely hot. Like, I couldn’t even rest my wrist on it to place the diamonds because it was burning me. Contacted amazon & they referred me to the seller, stating they didn’t have the inventory to replace the light board & ARTDOT would need to help me. Once I contacted ARTDOT, and explained the situation-Days later I got the response that it’s ‘supposed’ to get that hot while in use. Hmm, I don’t think burning people because it’s so hot should be considered normal. They didn’t offer any help, no troubleshooting with me, no replacement for my safety/comfort, no refund so I’m not out of the money I spent. Just a one liner ‘it is normal for the light board to get hot when it is working’.Sadly I purchased this board specifically because it was a name that seemed ‘reputable’ rather than a name of a board I couldn’t pronounce. My daughter also does Diamond painting so I got her an A4 board from a different seller. Her board is MUCH brighter and doesn’t get hot at all. Maybe warm after a couple hours of use. I can’t just trade with her, as I’m not comfortable with her using a board that could hurt her, and since hers is an A4, it’s also a bit smaller-I purchased the A3 because of the size, given it’s more costly, but would fit my paintings better. Either way since the seller doesn’t seem to care about the quality or safety of their products-I’ll have to find another avenue of returning the board, or throwing it away along with the money spent-To get something that won’t actually burn me, and is brighter, now that I see just how bright a quality board can get from the one I got my daughter. I would advise caution before purchasing this-There are much better light boards out there, with better customer service.
