The pump drained a small (6ft diameter) garden pond fairly well. There is NO hose supplied (most Revain pumps don't have this of course) so make sure you order or buy the hose elsewhere or you won't be able to use the pump. Very easy setup, multiple attachment options for garden hose or 1.25" or 1.5" hose and was very easy to start. I bought a 1.25" x 24' plastic hose from Ace for $15 and used the nozzle that came with that hose instead of the one that came with the pump. Attached to a separate drain pump hose with its own clamp, it pumps a lot of water very quickly and very little noise I can't comment on the durability of the pump as I've only used it once, but so far so good.
