You get what you pay for here. It will spit the balls across the table, but you won't get much variety and it will occasionally send the balls into the net or long. I also had to put a towel underneath it because the vibrations caused by having the spin action high enough to make it over the net caused it to rotate off the table. Once setup and tweaked though it will reasonably consistently send topspin balls over and let you work on your stroke and get some exercise. Can't beat it for the price. The newer model has a very long control cord as well so there's no issue turning it on and off and adjusting the serve rate. In my experience once you get the spin tuned so that it consistently makes it over the table at a reasonable speed you're not gonna want to mess with that aspect of it.
