I bought this product because I wanted to filter our fluorine from my water. This product was reasonably priced and have massive reviews. Among thousands of review, PH analysis stood out where consumers reported no change in PH value and then I thought I should give it a go anyway. As many stated in their reviews, installation and delivery was perfect. Very easy to install and ready to go in 5 mins. I followed instructions where it says to pass water through it so that it can clean up any deposits, the liquid was black indeed and then when it stopped being black in colour, I installed it.Few days after, I started itching all over my body. More aggressive itching was in my legs and head. I blamed it on the weather for couple of days and things just got worst. After a week, I came back to amazon reviews to see if anyone faced what I was facing and there were only one or two reviews that talked about its impact on skin in a negative way. So I uninstalled this filter to see if that was the reason and sure it was. I waited 5 days without filter to see if I am sure. Today, skin is not itching or flaky at all.So all in all, this might work for most people considering a lot of positive reviews however if you encounter any skin issues in the next 15 days of installing this filter, not waste time figuring out what happened or go to doctor or put massive amount of lotion or eczema creams. Just take this filter out.There are also talks about layers of filtration. some said it has 18 but they were fine with 15 layers. I am not sure I am willing to experiment at this point considering my skin too the blunt of it.I am not sure I can return this product because I opened it, I installed it, I used it and threw away the box however if you are buying it, keep everything for next 2 weeks atleast.Good luck!
