The paints and brushes in the set are good quality although the amount of paint that you receive is quite small. The canvas panels take paint well and area good size for a child, not huge but also not tiny (8x10 and 9x12). I feel that the kit is a bit overpriced for what you get, but everything int it other than the easel is quite nice. The easel is good for displaying finished paintings, but as an actual working surface it is too flimsy and falls down too easily. I like the plastic palette both for painting and for sorting beads when crafting. It is easy to wash.4 stars
