Works well so far

umbrellas I've never really used. I've never seen a particular need, if I get wet, I'll get wet. But we've had record rainfall lately and it's getting annoying, especially since I've been shaving my head and it's still over 30 here in Wisconsin. It gets COLD very quickly. I wanted an automatic as I preferred to just open the car door, reach out my hand and push the button to open it and save the inside of my car (and my head). ) from wet when I got out of the car. Since it could fit in a car, it also had to be fairly portable to meet my criteria. I've never owned an umbrella that turned inside out in the wind, but I've seen enough people do it that I was hoping that the design of this umbrella, which is supposed to prevent this to some extent, wouldn't allow it Other. me. It came quickly. The handle is quite comfortable, the automatic opening works VERY well. Push the button and CLICK! It's open and expanded. However, the "Auto-Close" feature is a serious misnomer. It's the "Auto-minimize at the top" button. It doesn't close, it simply returns the umbrella to a free knot, almost folded at the end. The downside to this is that there's a surprisingly strong spring inside that causes it to stretch, requiring you to work to fold it back up. The way the spikes flex makes it quite wobbly when folded, so I'm not very comfortable just grabbing the whole thing from the outside and pulling down, so I just rest my palm all the way on that End. shaft and press it back against the handle. However, the lid for it could be a bit bigger or more open than sewn shut with a small slit at the end as it isn't always foldable. and pack it back up in a neat little box that's easy to slip back into your suitcase. It's a bit annoying though as I got it to keep me dry and it's been doing just that lately. I don't even put it in a pocket, roll it up or secure it with velcro, the easiest way is to just drop the stock and toss it behind the passenger seat in my car for drying and storage. Doesn't get in the way of easy taking. All in all it's a good umbrella and it's big enough that even a person my size (over 6ft 1in) can stay relatively dry.

Pros
  • understandably also for the old
Cons
  • something else
