I attached a pin to the cable so I can finish my current project. I am very disappointed in the quality. The needles themselves are quite good (a metal tip catches the thread), the cables are fine - cable connections are critical. I have 3 needles that won't screw into the cable (apparently they were stripped) and the metal grommet on one of the cables fell off as soon as I took it out of the box. I would give this set a half star because the case is quite nice, but overall I spent a lot of money on something not worth it. I have knitted 2 scarves with these needles and my 3rd project is almost done - I will not start with these needles again. Knitter's Pride Karbonz Deluxe Replacement Needle Set
