Review on Full HD 1080p Microsoft LifeCam Studio by Ryan Limkk ᠌

Does not meet my expectations, it was not worth buying.

I do not recommend. The piece of iron is extremely unstable and unreasonably expensive. Better save your nerves and take something from Logitech. Its pros: Tripod connector, good color reproduction, sensitive microphone (catches whispers from the other side of the room), wide field of view, solid appearance. Cons: The sound is muffled (a lot of low frequencies). Brake autofocus, which does not always work. The video shoots with a resolution of 720p, not full HD (well, it's my own fault, I didn't have to follow the inscription on the box). But the main drawback is that this piece of iron is very selective in terms of computer hardware. The probability that it will run on your computer and work correctly is 50/50. If you fall into the first category, congratulations. If the second, then you can expect this: - an overexposed picture without the possibility of correcting something with standard means (sometimes overexposed reaches its apogee - a dazzling white color); - spontaneous turning off of video and (or) sound during a conversation. In this case, you need to turn off the camera from USB and reconnect it (by the way, it does not always help); - refusal to work without explanation. I tested it on different hardware platforms (intel, amd), with built-in and discrete video cards, on system units and laptops, operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 10), but I did not find any regular connections. On one computer it works flawlessly, on the other the same device will not even turn on. I can say one thing for sure: if you have a core 2 duo processor or older, don't waste your time: it won't work. It works more or less stably on 4th generation core processors, on more recent ones, up to the 8th - every other time . In general, Microsoft this time disappointed .
