Review on LG G8 ThinQ (G820) 128GB GSM Unlocked (Not CDMA) 6 by Stephen Cernatescu

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Telephone and 2nd seller (bayshine trading) get 5+ stars. 0 stars for suggestions always.

I feel like people tend to read negative reviews more than positive, hence my rating is 1 star. However, the phone itself is amazing and I dare you to find a better one in this price range. First of all I would like to provide the details of the seller whose name is "bayshine trading". After the initial confusion when another seller sent me the wrong version of the phone (more on that later), I contacted "bayshine trading" to make sure I got the correct version the second time around. Less than 10 minutes later, I received a reply confirming that the phone was indeed a T-Mobile version; I clicked buy; and 2 days later I had it (I received it much earlier than expected even though it wasn't a prime purchase). As I said, the phone is excellent. The screen is beautiful, the camera is excellent. It's very responsive and one of the pluses for me was the 3.5mm headphone jack and radio! Now that I've gotten rid of it all, my first experience wasn't that good/smooth. Although the description clearly says "T-Mobile", they sent me a model from AT&T ("Always Deals") instead. At first I thought it was ok since the phone is unlocked and works with any GSM operator. Well, there are a few problems with that. First of all, the Wi-Fi calling feature doesn't work. It's disabled and there's nothing you can do to enable it. Second, as another reviewer mentioned, one of the extended LTE bands covered by T-Mobile isn't supported by AT&T. Although both flaws were not very important for me. In over 20 years, I've probably only made a call via WLAN once. And in the area where I live we have very good coverage so it won't be a problem for me to miss the group. However, the biggest downside of the AT&T model on the T-Mobile network is that you will NOT get Android updates, including security patches. So I contacted Deals Always to see how we can resolve this issue and after leaving them two voicemails and also sending them a very detailed email I received no response. Nothing, nada, crickets. so you got it All in all a fantastic phone but be sure to check with the seller before buying. Avoid Deals Always at all costs, but I will definitely recommend bayshine trading.
