Review on CTA Tools 2066: The Ultimate Heavy-Duty Oxygen Sensor Socket for Professional Mechanics by Mike Steeg

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best available, best in spares

In all my years of screw turning I have never used an O2 sensor socket so superior. I agree with the comments of others regarding this tool's ability to remove transducers that have already been rounded off by a bottom tool. I replaced the sensors on my Ford E350. The upper sensor on the passenger side did not want to come loose despite the applied heat and several hours of exposure to the PB blaster. released in 5 seconds. This jack does not bend at all. That extra metal ridge around the center of the jack is awesome and I don't know why all O2 jacks weren't made that way in the first place. Also, it's a true 22mm, not a 7/8" like some other offerings. 7/8" is NOT equal to 22mm! This added strength enhances the capabilities of this connector. You will never buy an O2 sensor connector again. It's every one worth cents.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other alternatives
