Purchased for sacroiliac joint pain - works for me

Just opened the box. It was in a nice sturdy box, kind of like an iPhone box. In fact it kind of looks like an iPhone/about that size. It does seem a light and not sure if it would take much to break it.I expected instructions on how to get started but found none so I just turned it on. The battery seems fully charged. The display is monochromatic but easy to read when the backlight is on.The first thing I noticed was 12 circles/icons on the display for which I had not yet found instructions. After some searching, I did find the instructions in many different languages on one sheet of paper. The text was so small it would take someone with perfect eyesight a magnifying glass to read. I cut out the English section and enlarged it 300% on my copier (200% probably would have been big enough)I will update my review as I study the users' guide and put it to use.UPDATE 1:Received the shipment at work. When I got home I intended to try it. I had the enlarged operating instructions but found them lacking in detail. The unit comes with2 x Large pad4 x Medium pad2 x Small pad2 x Electric wire (1/2 wire) Single wire split with 2 electrodes/pad connectors1 x Electric wire(1/4 wire) Single wire split with 4 electrodes/pad connectorsI could not figure out which wire and set up I should use so I gave up and decided to wait and review instructions from other units online in the morning. Here I am doing just that.First I noted that I could not find a website for MiroPure TENS - This is not a good sign but still it has good reviews here on ebay so I am hopeful. A quick Google of "TENS electrode placement chart" gave me good visuals. It would appear that the size of the muscle must determine the number of pads. I will try them to see what they actually do. For the purpose of the test, I will stick with just the #1 setting when seems to be normal TENS unit function. More later.UPDATE 2Well I have increased to 4 stars. Once I figured out which leads to use (I used one 1/4) and adjusted the placement above and below my pain, it worked well. I set the timer for 10 minutes and used the lowest intensity setting which was plenty - I don't think I could handle the highest setting but one day I will get brave.Bottom line is I would recommend it for functionality but if you've never used one before, I hope this review will help you get started. They could have better operations instructions and absolutely should have them printed in a larger font.
