Review on J B Weld 8281 Professional Reinforced by Demetrius Young

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not strong - non-stick plastic

I had a broom head that looks like this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FTPSS6 It broke in the middle. I have researched all epoxy based products and this one has proven to be the most durable. I mixed the epoxy, applied it to both parts and seated the two parts (and held in a clamp to make sure the two parts were pressed firmly against each other and didn't move). I let it dry for 3 days. I screwed the reconditioned nozzle back onto the handle and began gently sweeping the driveway. After 3 minutes the broom broke due to failed glue. Superglue would have held this broom together for years - wish I hadn't bought it. Now I can't reglue my broom head because that crap JB welded stuck all over the original crack. So instead of fixing the broom head and saving it from the trash, I have to buy a new one. JB Weld should buy me a new broom head (since their glue now makes it beyond repair) and refund my money. repairing a china heirloom and this epoxy never set - it just stayed tacky. Like the broom, I can no longer repair this heirloom because the crack is now covered in gooey JB-Weld. 50/50 I've used epoxy many times over the years and it's worked great so it's not my fault. JB Weld seems to suck - at least to me. I also contacted JB Weld through their website so after a week they have not responded to emails.
