I bought a Kryptonite cable similar to this one and really liked the flexibility of the braided cable compared to the standard twisted pair cable, but it was too short for my purpose and the Kryptonite has it no longer cable made at a reasonable price (which I could find). I load two or three bikes on the trunk or in the trunk. the body of my truck and this cable easily loops through all the frames and wheels to securely attach to a secure screw terminal on my truck with a quality lock. Like all good cables, this one offers only a daunting security as it can be severed with the right tools; but that's all i need. If you want to lock your bike to a rack on the outside and ride to work or school inside, that's not enough, but it works well in combination with a U-lock (for the frame) and a fixed rack.
