This security box, which also doubled as a mailbox in the heart of Hollywood appears very sturdy and is made out of very thick metal. The color white IS NOT really white and is actually almond as in the picture. We encountered installation problems as the Instructions were incorrect as to the tools and drill bit needed. This was attached to a cement wall and the instructions said to use a 3/16 inch drillbit when it actually required a 3/8 inch masonry drillbit to put the anchors deep enough into the wall. The other caveat was that the key holes for mounting are inside the box and above where you can get at them with a screwdriver - so you must use a socket wrench to be able to tighten the bolts securely. Make sure you put the washer (needed for additional mointing strength) on the bolt and then through the box into the anchors. At this point, Because of the washer size the keyhole is kind of useless. We had no issues with the bottom bolts has access to them was easy. Also be careful of overtightening the bolts as they are inexpensive steel bolts and not hardened and are subject to stripping and breaking (we broke one trying to tighten it). Once we got through the installation hassles, this box appears rocksolid and very sturdy and we would recommend it without any problem. We are on a major street with plenty of vandalism and will update our review if it fails to meet our expectations! If your looking for a good mailbox that is thicker than most mailboxes you'll ever find, this is a definite must by!
